It's rare that I have time for a full fledged article on anything lately. Too scatterbrained, or too busy. In the meantime, I've achieved the quorum of real-life friends using Twitter for it to be a viable outlet. 140 characters is much easier to fill, than enough of a blog post to fit my layout. Also, I've added my latest tweet to the top of the blog page, using Joost de Valk's instructions. The blog's not going anywhere that it wasn't already - I'll still post full length entries here as I have the attention to do so. In the mean time:

Yet Another Theme Repository

At long last, the formerly dead themes.wordpress.net repository is open-ish again. Disconnected and Dream in Infrared have been uploaded, and are awaiting approval. Promised Land, Walk in the Shadows, and The Thin Line may be uploaded later, if TEMPLATE: sandbox themes will work with the new system. Bus Full of Hippies will naturally be excluded, due to its GPL-incompatability.

I've re-enabled the WP-OpenID plugin, despite problems Trent experienced with previous versions. I'm not being deliberately cruel, honest. So make sure that you copy the body of your comment before hitting submit¹ . If you have trouble commenting, 1) please submit a bug report to your OpenID provider, especially if that's wordpress.com 2) drop me a line, via the contact form. This has been inspired by recent discussions on WP-Hackers, if you're wondering. As an added bonus, if you comment with an OpenID, your comment will be whitelisted by Defensio.

This is always a good practice, no matter where you're commenting. I also copy the body of my posts before clicking publish. (back ↩)

I might have to change my mind about Ron Paul. This bill might make sense¹ if there were anything resembling a clear notion of what is illegally obscene.
