The main obstacles for me are that i don't use iTunes (so having that would be as intrusive as SonicStage), and my generally being bored by minimalism. The media is cheaper than flash-based ram, and <abbr title="Magneto Optical">MO</abbr> is more durable than hard drive, or any other digital media (that's why your medical records are archived on it). MD's are the shit. Sony's famous for losing format wars because their stuff is too good to give up on, but all their lawyers come from the entertainment division.
