In true wordpress theme competition tradition, Lunarpages is launching a contest, overlapping with Design Vitality contest. Not that many people were entering that one, I guess I wasn't the only one who thought it sounded like a scam. Lunarpages at least has a decent start on terms and conditions. Depending on how much free time I have, what with being in Europe for the last half of this month, I may enter. Then again, if I haven't finished a theme by February, it's probably not worth finishing

I feel famous.
haha, “Ian boycotted it, therefore everyone will!”
Therefore, we await Ian’s verdict.
I’m thinking something with starved lions and gladiator weapons.
I am curious how the Design Vitality contest winds up though.
They will never mention it ever again and any comments inquiring about it will be silently deleted.
I don’t see anything in Lunarpages’ rules stating that these have to be new themes that have never before been seen by the public. I like that they are judging on ‘creativity, originality[...] and uniqueness’, though. It’s about time somebody did.
yeah, I would assume it’s safe to enter your four-column gradient premium in the lunarpages competition as well. whether or not voting ever commences on DV
creativity and uniqueness are admirable goals, but the winners are decided by popular vote. the *ahem* wisdom of crowds rarely seems to recognize those traits.
I didn’t realise I wasn’t the only one who thought DV’s competition was ‘dodgy’. I wrote about it too. I’m glad about the decision I made now.
Says they start voting on the 7th.
