apparently it's themes with:

more than one sidebar
sidebars with names
sidebars without ID's

apparently 'fixed' means that if you add ID's to your sidebars, you can still have more than one named sidebar. updated release is available on SF.net.

hmmm... i see you're right. something changed when they bundled widgets into the core. i'll work on that, and release a new version shortly. FWIW, outward = elsewhere. the only stuff that's not widgetized is the meta stuff at the top of the sidebar on archive and single pages.

eta: it seems to be a lot of themes that use more than one sidebar.

I’m a big fan of the Disconnected Theme, but 1.2 is being finicky with WordPress 2.2- For some reason, the widget menu only recognizes Outward as a widget, not inward.

Is there something wrong with my host (dreamhost)’s php, or have you noticed this too?

Would it be possible to get info on how to widget-ify ALL the sidebars (Inward, Outward, Elsewhere, whatever else there might be) so I can completely customize my sidebar system more easily?

Lest we forget that this was awarded the Best Two-Column Design, I will remind everyone.

Hoo-rah for the hAtom support as well as for the special classes.

Thanks for pointing out Ceejay’s tutorial on the version-checking script. Methinks I shall put that in my theme revisions as well.
