our puppy arrived tuesday. she is so adorable, even sparky can't hate her. 9 week old puppies are time consuming, though, so don't expect much in the way of posting for a while.

That Pug is adorable. Good luck with the training. I hear they re a little on the stubborn side when it comes to training, and their human parent’s tend to let them get away with murder because they are so adorable.
We’ll see you in a year or so.
she is stubborn, but we’re not the types to be cowed by her cuteness
He looks like a shoe eater.

and yes, she seems to believe that everything needs to be investigated by ingestion.
she?
I’ve never had a pug but believe me when I say that her breed cannot be any more controlling than any terrier breed. Dogs need to know that you are leaders of their pack. Puppy classes for obedience training don’t usually commence until the age of 6 months and by then my dogs have already been trained in good manners. Also here’s a tip: provided you hook Lux on digestible rawhide chewies ASAP you won’t ever have to worry about her chewing everything in sight.
she’s already much better at only chewing things we let her chew, but we’ll be taking her for “puppy classes” down the street sooner than 6 months.
everything we’ve read says that she shouldn’t have bones/chew toys that break down until 6 months or so.
I never ever give my dogs real animal bones that can shatter, pierce and cause huge debt bills not to mention pain and suffering. I’m sorry I wasn’t clear about that. There are things called “dentabones” that I give my dogs prior to them reaching 4 months of age. They packed them around everywhere with them when they were pups and never once ate shoes, etc. After that age I gave them digestible rawhide chew toys.
With two people and a cat adoring her she’s bound to be queen of the house in no time flat … snigger
yes, we have a denta bone that she rarely goes anywhere without
“Time Confusing” is something that I can relate to as well. I have a 9 week old Golden Retriever. Loads of fun though! Thanks for sharing!
indeed, learning to type one-handed again is definately the trick of the hour
