9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.
Isaac pointed me to this list on the best of craigslist. man, that's brilliant. although number 7 should probably include something about the long list of christian atrocities (inquisition, crusades, etc.) that require a blind eye as well. ![]()

Thank you for posting this and visiting my political bog at http://timethief.wordpress.com I followed your trackback and was so very glad I did. Although I offered to try and overcome my biases against fundamentalists of all varieties and most particularly , against evangelical christians - I can’t. I simply have too much functional brain tissue to do so. This list you directed me to made me laugh and I needed very much to do that. I even bookmarked it for future reference too.
Sunday June 25th is the night of a full moon and a perfect time for me to set off all the dogs in the neighbourhood to singing so, this little coyote is going to howl her face off. Wherever you are on the night of the full moon think of me and what the heck - give it a try. There’s a wonderful satisfaction that flows through one after howling at all the ignorance, stupidity, and bloody mindedness and injustice we run up against everyday.
P.S. There are no coyotes on the island on whcih I live but once every month the animal rescue people get calls reporting my singing to them. The inside joke is that they know it’s me who is doing the howling and that some have also been known to join me.
:0 ooww ooww owOWOOOoooo
you know… there are a lot of people guilty of the things in the list here in the Philippines (i’ve encountered some who are guilty of ALL… it’s kind of common with the elderly here :D). i suppose it’s because Christianity is predominant in our country? oh well.
“Any hope that America would finally grow up vanished with the rise of fundamentalist Christianity. Fundamentalism, with its born-again regression, its pink-and-gold concept of heaven, its literal-mindedness, its rambunctious good cheer… its anti-intellectualism… its puerile hymns… and its faith-healing… are made to order for King Kid America.” Florence King
