I finally managed to read through Wired's New Atheism article. While I've learned to be more respectful of christians than i was in the first few years after leaving the church, that's really only true of christians i know personally. Christianity as a whole isn't deserving of any more respect than my own assumptions about the world. And given what the the christians think of atheists, i say that "New Atheism" shouldn't be much of a surprise.
