I'd been meaning to do something like this myself, but thankfully you did it for me. :D I also went altered the <a href="http://dev.wp-plugins.org/wiki/LiveCommentPreview" rel="nofollow">Live Comment Preview</a> plugin so the script only loads on single post pages.
