Scoble is leaving microsoft. it's good for him, i'm sure. hell, i'd love to be able to work with my wife.
but i certainly hope microsoft hires someone else as their "lead internal critic", though. I'm no microsoft fanboy, i think open source software will be the groundswell that topples their monopoly. but Microsoft and Sun have done amazing jobs of openly handling criticism.

It' been especially impessive, in light of supposed community-based sites (cf. 9rules, suicidegirls) fail miserably at handling dissent from within. It makes it seem like building a real community with honest discussion is something only the pros can do. who woulda thunk?
