Dear CTA,

Thank you for the trip planner. Really, it's an excellent tool.

HOWEVER, the idiot assfuck who thought it was a good idea to put that scrolling javascript on the top of it needs to be exposed to the public so he can be dismembered and dragged through the street.  I thought it was temporary, that you would use the site yourself, and see how awful it was.  not so, and now you've just killed my browser 5 times in a row.

Heh. I wanted to see what you were talking about so I clicked the link and it closed my browser. That’s crappy.

yeah, i should have put a bigger warning. sorry about that. safari and IE handle it like nothing, of course.

There was just a post on the CTA Tattler about just what a useless tool that is. There was no mention of the stupid scrolling header, though, at least not when I last looked.

I still don’t like being told to take the bus one stop to Fullerton to transfer rather than, say, walking the two minutes it would take me to get there, especially when I always put that I want to walk up to a mile.

yeah, i know it has its shortcomings, but most map/directions sites have the same problem. i think it’ll be until the next jump in machine-learning before that gets properly fixed.
