current tune: modest mouse - south of heaven
i had a pretty uneventful weekend. but i'm going to post about it anyway. saturday i just had to work. which seemed weird at the time, since my boss left 2 hours earlier than he said he was going to. monday i found out that the electrical/mechanical engineer wasn't releasing drawings because he hadn't been paid. why couldn't matt and phil ever learn to write contracts that allowed them that freedom? so, since my boss took away my free time without any real reason this weekend, i'm taking paid time to post. grrr.
also on saturday i went shopping with the girl for random athletic items. my 7 year old teva sandals needed replacing finally. since the velcro was detaching itself from the straps. definately the best shoe investment i ever made though. even my oldest dress shoes clock in at 4 years.
after that we went and bought weights for the girl. i had Free free weights from when ben moved to LA. which i have now decided should be put to more use than door stops. the whole looking emo thing (read: skinny and not getting outside much) is getting tired. and this level of physical activity can only lead to me fitting the "middle aged man" form factor in the near future (read: looking like my dad in 5 years). so i'm going to continue working on my arms and running so i can partcipate in office softball. even though it's been a good 7 years since i've swung a bat.
