Warm Fuzzy Moment: my dad doing the "headphone talking" thing, talking really loud because he was listening to the iRiver U10 melanie and i gave him, and being totally unaware of how loud he was. it was just funny, having grown up with him, and worked in the church sound room with him, the number of times he's done it. it was nice, since i knew he liked the gift since he couldn't put it down to talk.

The Unexpected Gift: possibly inspired bythis picture my parents gave us ak ratchet chairs. definately fort-building size boxes. definately filling that need i didn't know i had. i can't wait to rock Half-Life 2 (melanie's gift) in it.

Unwanted: the itunes gift card. i hate itunes. it will never be on my windows box at home, so the songs are work only, and won't ever be on my minidisc player (i don't know if sony or apple is more to blame for that, either way DRM currently sucks). at least melanie can use them on her ipod. i bought ten songs: (read more...)

Christmas Carol: 'tis the year of, er... oompa loompa's? my uncles thought it would be cute to have a willy wonka/golden ticket themed celebration. (every year they do some sort of white elephant gift exchange) all well and good, great fun for the 5 children, i assume, but if i hear the oompa loompa song again, i'm gonna yarf.

i think the most fun was during the bears game, (since i haven't followed football since i lived with josh) just hanging out with melanie in our little corner. there's never nearly enough adam-mellie time. ♥
