i have no idea why this

needed to have a camera. but it does handle mp3's natively. which makes it pretty freaking cool. that means that you can record mp3's from anywhere.
there's still the question of whether they work as Portable Media Devices, but they do list windows media center edition as a supported operating system. which suggests that you can transfer music using the 10 foot interface.
yesterday the wifest asked me if i was fiending for a PSP. they do look damn cool. but there are so many things i'd rather have. so i'll make another list. and neither the PSP or the new HI-MD's will be on it. but they'll both be shortly off the end of it.

  okay, the video card is totally extra. the firegl 8800 i have is substantially older, and it's not dx9, you're getting a $400 card for $100, but no, i don't neeeeed it. softimage i do need. the more i want to update my website, is the more that licenses used at school and at k2 won't cover my butt.
• new bikes, for me and the womon
• enough money for all the trips we need to take.
• enough money for a nice apartment, for the next year, until we want to buy a house

mostly, i'm liking the thought of the wife and i having enough savings to be comfy. once we finish with immigration, maybe i'll want a newer mp3 player, or even a portable game/mp3/movie/web player. the red eye's headline regarding the psp was "ipod killer". that paper should just be laughed out of existence.
