current tune: the shins - caring is creepy

apparently i no longer shop at express. my parents gave me a gift card for express for my birthday. we went to the one in the century mall on Clark, and they had nothing, NOTHING, but cosby sweaters and pink dress shirts. what the hell happened to the cool, if overpriced jeans, well designed t-shirts, and cool sweaters?

and the boxers!! goddammit!!! i swore allegiance to structure boxers in high school, since they have two seams in the back, so they're wedgie-proof. we also went to the one on michigan avenue, where i inquired after the boxers. the sales girl assured me that they were only temporarily out, and would get more in 3 weeks. laaaaame.

i was worried when express bought structure, but the store didn't change much, other than the signage. apparently the honeymoon is over, now. fortunately we were able to use the gift certificate for the wifest, and i bought some shirts at the gap.
